Family History

John Heath was the son of Mary Wall who was also the mother of Hilda Taylor Wall born 1895 and George Wall born 1900 and died 1902. In 1911 John and family lived at 22 Marcus Street Lenton Nottingham. He married Mary Jane Belton on 12th June 1916 at Holy Trinity Church Lenton. They lived at 1 Wilford Cottages Goodhead Street Meadows Nottingham. Following John's death Mary Jane received a weekly pension of 13/9d from 25th August 1919.

Military History

John Heath Wall enlisted at Nottingham on 22nd November 1915. The following day he was placed into the reserves. He was mobilised for service on 21st February 1916 and posted on 23rd to the No 4 Depot of the Royal Garrison Artillery. He went out to France on 18th March 1918. Following the end of the war he was on home leave when he died of pneumonia in Berridge Road Military Hospital Nottingham. He was buried at Lenton (Holy Trinity) Churchyard, Nottingham.
