Harry Fisher was born in 1892 the son of Job Frederick railway station master for the Midland Railways and Rose Hannah Fisher née Hollingworth of 5, Carlton-le-Willows Nottingham. Job was born in 1856 at Bulley Gloucestershire, Rose Hannah Hollingworth was born in 1862 at New Whittington, Derbyshire, they were married in 1887 their marriage was recorded in the Chesterfield Registration district, they went on to have 8 children. In 1911 the family are living at Thurgarton Railway Station, however Harry is not shown on the 1911 census at the address. His father Job was station master at Thurgarton railway station from 1898 to 1921.

Military History

Private Harry Fisher enlisted at Nottingham, he was killed in action on 15th February 1916 and is buried at Divisional Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
