Family History

He was the son of Walter and Alice Imisson and the brother of Gertrude, Alice, Richard, Albert and Edward Imisson. In 1911 they lived at 16 Alderney Street Grove Road Lenton Nottingham. An 'A Imisson' was listed on the Alderney Street Roll of Honour as having served in the 7th Bn Sherwood Foresters and wounded 'on foreign service.' It is likely that he was William's brother, Albert, and survived the war.

William has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
