Charles Edward Allcock

Charles Edward Allcock was born in 1890 at Sutton, Lincolnshire and was the son of Shepherd a labourer and Phoebe Allcock née Rose of Sutton St James, Wisbech. His father Shepherd was born in 1865 at Sutton, his mother Phoebe Rose was born in 1865 at Holbeach, Lincolnshire, they were married in 1886 their marriage was recorded in the Holbeach registration district, they went on to have the following children, Barbara b1887 Holbeach, Nellie b1888 Holbeach, Charles Ernest b1890 Sutton, Annie b1895 Sutton St James, Shepherd b1900 Sutton St James and Robert 1904 Sutton St James. In the 1911 census the family are living at Sutton St James near Wisbeach and are shown as Shepherd 46 yrs a labourer in drains department, he is living with his wife Phoebe 46 yrs and their children, Charles Ernest 21 yrs a boot and shoe repairer, Shephard 11 yrs a scholar and Robert 7 yrs of age. Charles Edward married his wife Bertha Mildred Oliver (born 19th March 1891) in 1914 at Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, they lived at 57 Beaconsfield Street, Nottingham. Following his death his widow Beatrice Mildred was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week which commenced on 9th December 1918. His widow later lived at 54, Rawson St., New Basford, Nottingham.
