He was the son of Richard Henry and Mary Robinson and the brother of Arthur and Mary Ann Robinson. In 1901 they lived at 19 Devon Street Nottingham. He was the husband of Beatrice May (née Goodacre) Robinson and the father of Beatrice May and Douglas Clarence Robinson. In 1911 they lived at 37 Colwick Street Nottingham.
Rifleman Richard Henry Robinson, enlisted in Nottingham and served with the 18th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was killed in action on 7th June 1917 and is buried in Dickebusch New Military Cemetery Extension, Grave Reference: III C 3
Obituaries published 21st June 1917 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “ROBINSON. – Killed in action, June 7th, 1917, Signaller Richard H. Robinson, K.R.R., aged 35, the dearly-beloved husband of Beatrice Robinson, 14, Second-avenue, Carlton-hill. Perhaps some time we'll understand. – From his sorrowing wife and children. “ROBINSON. – Killed in action, June 7th, Signaller Richard H.
