Noah Vivian Bellaby was born in 1899 in Nottingham and was the son of William Henry a gas works stoker and Mary Bellaby née Edge in 1901 they lived at 26 Whitechapel Street, Whitemoor Road, Old Basford they lived at 3 Nursery Lane, Arnold Road, Basford at the time of Noah's death. His father was born in 1862 in Nottingham and his mother Mary Edge was born in 1862 in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. They were married in 1898 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration District. In the 1901 census the family are living at 26 Whitechapel Street, Whitemoor Road, Old Basford and were shown William Henry 39 yrs a gas works stoker, he is living with his wife Mary 39 yrs and their son Noah Vivian shown as an infant. It has not been possible to trace this family in the 1911 census.

Military History

Private Noah Vivian Bellaby enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 1/5th battalion King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) he died on 6th August 1918 and is buried in Houchin British Cemetery , Pas De Calais, France grave reference II.A.26
