Family History

William Benjamin Taylor was the son of George and Rose Taylor. The family later moved to Lunns Cottage Lea Road Gainsborough.

Military History

William was attested on 15th Feb 1915 and joined 5 Bty reserves 4 days later. About a month later on the 6th March, he fell ill and was taken to hospital at Newcastle on Tyne and a few days later at 2.30 on the 11th March he had died of double pneumonia. William Taylor's effects were dispatched to George Taylor at Firbeck Rotherham on 9 Sept 1915.
