Henry was the son of Ebeniza and Martha Rawson. He was born in 1895 in Awkley and had a brother and 2 sisters. His middle name was his mothers maiden name, Waistnedge. When he was 16 he was working as a labourer on a farm
Military History
Beore joining the Northumberland Fusiliers, Henry was in the Yorks and Lancs Regiment, number 26479. He was killed in action and commemorated at the Hargicourt British Cemetery, France
