Family History

Albert Arthur Wiggin was born in 1881 the son of Joseph a general labourer and Hannah Wiggin née Roberts and the brother of , Joseph, Richard, Philip and Susannah Wiggin. In 1901 they lived on Moorbridge Lane Stapleford Nottinghamshire. Joseph Wiggin was born in 1835 and Hannah Roberts in 1843 both were born in Pelsall, Staffordshire, married on 11th September 1860 at Rushall, Staffordshire. Albert married Annie Frances Gamble in 1901 their marriage was recorded in the Shardlow registration district, they lived at 5 Station Road, Sandiacre and later 228 Sherrard Road, Manor Park Essex, they had two sons Herbert Arthur born 12th January 1903 and Walter born 19th August 1905 both born in Stapleford. In 1911 they lived at 5 Station Road, Sandiacre Arthur 30 yrs is a labourer on the Midland Railway, living with his wife Annie Frances 32 yrs and sons Herbert Arthur 8 yrs and Walter 5 yrs old. Commencing 10th April 1916 Annie Frances Wiggin was awarded a pension of 17 shillings and 6 pence a week.

Military History

Private Albert Arthur Wiggin enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Stapleford, he died of wounds on2nd October 1915 at Number 2 Canadian General Hospital and is buried at Le Treport Military Cemetery, France.
