Family History

Percy Pollard was born in 1896 the son of William Wright a police officer and Kate Pollard née Naylor and the brother of Thomas William, Arthur Wright, Edith Annie, Kate May and Dorothy Pollard. William Wright Pollard was born in 1868 at Kinoulton, Kate Naylor was born in 1867 at Loscoe, married in 1888 at Nottingham. In 1911 they lived at 13 The Pastures Stapleford Nottinghamshire and later at 'The Nook' New Stapleford. William Wright is a police officer and is living with Kate of 5 of his children.

Military History

Private Percy Pollard enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Stapleford, he was killed in action on 3rd September 1916 and is buried at Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, France. Plot 6. Row F. Grave 9.
