Albert Henry Gould was born in 1884 he married his wife Elizabeth Sarah Dann (born 26th September 1895 ) in 1908 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, she brought a child, Amelia Dann born July 1907 to the marriage, they lived at 9 Chapel Street, Stapleford and had the following children, Albert Alfred b1908, Joseph William b1910, Rose Hannah b193, Edith b1915 and George b1917. In 1911 they lived at 27 Brooke Street, Stapleford Albert is 26 yrs and a coal miner - roadman, living with Elizabeth 25 yrs and their children, Amelia 3 yrs, Albert 2 yrs and Joseph 5 months old. Commencing 18th March 1918 Elizabeth Gould was awarded a pension of 33 shillings and 9 pence a week His widow later re married to become Elizabeth Sarah Betts (formerly Gould) and lived at 35 Fairfield Villas The Pastures Stapleford Nottinghamshire.

Military History

Private Albert Henry Gould enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Stapleford, he was killed in action on 1st July 1917 and is commemorated on the Loos memorial
