Family History

Edward Heny Taylor was born on 7th May 1883 at Derby Road, Ilkeston he was the son of Maud Mary Arnold. He lived at Cambridge House, Nottingham Road, Stapleford. He died on 2nd January 1914 at Cambridge House, Nottingham Road, Stapleford.

Military History

Edward Arnold enlisted on 30th January 1915 at Nottingham. He stated he had seen previously military service with the Sherwood Foresters 1st battalion enlisting 8th April 1902 and discharged 3rd April 1914 as time expired. He was posted to the Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He entered theatre (France) on 19th March 1915. He was admitted to the Military Hospital on 24th May 1915 with Bronchitis and was retuned to England on 22nd May 1915. He was discharged 31st May 1915 with bronchitis and tuberculosis of the lungs being no longer physically fit for war service . He died J/F/M/1916.
