Family History
Bernard Henry Spray was born in 1898 the son of Edwin a lace worker and Mary Spray (née Hazzeldine). Edwin was born in 1877, Mary Hazzeldine in 1878, both at Beeston. Married in 1897, they also had a daughter Florence. In 1911, they lived at 50, Middle Street, Beeston.
Military History
Bernard Henry Spray enlisted at Nottingham and landed in France on 21st July 1915. He was shot by a sniperand buried in Rue-David Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, Grave Reference: 1.H.9
