John Henry Johnson was born in 1878 the son of John a book agent and Olive Johnson (née Munday) of Great Yarmouth. His father was born in 1853 at Loughborough, his mother in 1854 at Alverstoke, Gosport. Married 3/1/1875, they had four children - Annie b.1877 Oulton, Yorkshire, John Henry b.1878 Doncaster, Ernest b.1883 Great Yarmouth and Mary b.1889 Great Yarmouth. Olive Maira Johnson died in 1899 at Great Yarmouth aged 45.

Military History

John Henry Johnson enlisted at Nottingham and first entered a theatre of war on 31st December 1915 in the Balkans. He was drowned at sea. Alexandria (Hadra) war memorial in Egypt.
