He was the son of Isaac and Sarah Ann Boot and the brother of George, Elizabeth, Joseph, Eunice, Beatrice, Gladys Ethel and Maisie Boot. In 1911 the family lived on Stamford Street Awsworth Nottinghamshire. Frank married Elizabeth Goodwin (born 26th January 1896 ) in 1909 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, They lived at 12 Brown's Flatt Kimberley Nottinghamshire and had the following children, John b1909, Janet b1911, Winifred b1913, Frank b1914 and Leslie b1916.

Military History

Sergeant Frank Morton Boot enlisted at Ilkeston whilst residing at Awsworth, he initially served with the service number 20715 in the Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he was killed in action on 11th April 1917 and is buried in Gouy-en-Artois Communal Cemetery Extension A.16
