He was the son of William Herbert and Annie Clements of 112 Victoria Road Netherfield Nottingham.

Military History

Private Joseph Clements enlisted on 14th September 1915 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada, giving his age as 23 yrs and 3 months, he was a butcher and his next of kin was his brother Albert Clements. He served with the Canadian Army Service Corps. he landed in England on 25th October 1915 and went to France on 17th January 1916. He developed tuberculosis of the lung and was returned to England on 12th October 1916 and was returned to Canada where he died on 3rd February 1917 of T.B and is buried at Toronto (St. James') Cemetery, Ontario, Canada.
