Family History

Thomas Breedon was born in 1877 the son of William a coal miner and Mary Ann Breedon of Walsall. He married Hannah Mason (born 17th March 1876) in 1897 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they lived at Carsic Lane, and had children, James Edward b1899, Hannah May b1901, Thomas b1904, Florence born 20th September 1905 and Albert born 2nd November 1908 . In 1911 the family lived on Carsic Lane, Top End Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire. Commencing 28th April 1919 his widow was awarded a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week.

Military History

Gunner Thomas Brredon enlisted at Mansfield, he served with 'A' Battery, 100th Brigade Royal Field Artillery, he died on 12th October 1918 of pneumonia at Salonica and is buried at Mikra British Cemetery, Greece.
