Harry Dunmore was born in 1891 at Grantham and was the son of Henry Dunmore and the late Jane Dunmore nee Isaac of Ropsley, Grantham. His father Henry was born in 1859 at Crowland Lincolnshire he died in 1917, his mother Jane Isaac was born in 1858 she died in 1893 , they had the following children, Eliza Jane b1880 Ropsley, Mary Ann b1881 Ropsley, Julia b1884 Ropsley In 1901, they lived at Ropsley, Grantham. In the 1911 census Harry has left the family home, he is living at Ropsley Lodge, Lincolnshire, he is shown as being 20 yrs a servant and a waggoner on a farm, he is living with Joseph Twidale 51 yrs and his family.

Military History

Private Harry Dunsmore enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Radford, he was serving with the 20th Hussars attached 5th Cavalry Entrenching battalion when he was killed in action on 13th February 1916, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial Dud Corner Panel 2
