John William Reasby Coy

John William Reasby Coy was born in 1876 in Cropwell Butler he was the son of John Thomas Coy a furnisher and Annie Elizabeth Maud Coy née Reasby. His father John Thomas was born in 1856 in Cropwell Butler and his mother Annie Elizabeth Maud Reasby was born in 1853 in Rugby, Warwickshire, they were married in 1876 in Bingham and went on to have 13 children , sadly three of whom died in infancy or early childhood prior to 1911, there children were John William Reasby b1876 Cropwell Butler, Edith Emily b1878 Cropwell Butler, Ernest Charles b1880 Cropwell Butler, Eliza Annie b1884 Cropwell Butler , Thomas Edward and Mary Jane Elizabeth (twins) b1887 Sherwood, Walter Fred b1889 Sherwood, Albert Stanley b1891 Burton Joyce, Eveline Jenny b1892 Burton Joyce, Florence Violet b1894 Nottingham, Hilda Fanny b1895 Nottm and Mary Alice b1899 Nottingham. In the 1911 cencus his parents are living at 21 Marple Street, Nottingham and are shown as John 55 yrs a furniture worker he is living with his wife Annie 58 yrs and their daughter Hilda 15 yrs also living with them at this time is two of their grandchildren Annie and Mary both 11 yrs. John married Maud Mary Gunn (born 2nd August 1883 South Collingham) in 1909 in Nottingham, he was the father of William, Thomas and George Coy. (John have previously married Mary Alice Maddock b1877 Blaby, Leicestershire, they were married in 1899 in Bingham, she died in 1908 in Nottingham she was 31 yrs of age. ) In the 1911 census the family was living at 24 St Albans Street Nottingham and was shown as John William Reasby Coy 34 yrs a furniture worker, he is living with his wife Maud Mary 27 yrs a lace worker working from home, and their son William Thomas 6 months
