Family History

Francis John Patrick Brady was born in 1895 at Sneinton and the son of Francis a general labourer and Fanny Brady (née Twist). His father was born in 1872 at Nottingham, his mother in 1870 in Leicestershire. Married in 1889 in Nottingham, they had four children - Terence b.1893, Francis John Patrick b.1895, Ernest b1910 and Joseph Vincent b.1911. In 1901 they lived at 12 Finch Street Nottingham.

Military History

Francis John Patrick Brady, enlisted at Nottingham and landed in France on 26th January 1915. He died of wounds at No 4 Stationary Hospital and is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery Grave Reference: XI A 8

Extra Information

His elder brother Terence served with 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters and was killed in action on 2nd December 1916. He is buried in Railway Dugout Burial Ground.
