Son of Walter William and Laura Perry; He was the husband of Annie Miriam Perry, née Andrews of 1010 St. Clarens Avenue, Toronto They married at St. Nicholas' Church, Castle Gate, Nottingham, on 11th April 1917 details of which were published in the 'Nottingham Evening Post,' 12th April 1917 see extra information below
Lance Corporal Walter William Perry, M.M. enlisted at Niagara, Ontario, Canada on 31st August 1915, and served with the 75th Canadian Infantry Battalion, He was killed in action on 18th November 1917. He has no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial Ypres, Belgium..
Obituary published in the Nottingham Evening Post dated 18th November 1918:- “PERRY. – In ever-loving memory of my dear husband, Lance-Cpl. Walter William Perry, M.M. (75 Canadians), killed in action November 18th, 1917, of 25, Castle-road, Nottingham. Silently mourned. – Loving wife Annie. Marriage announcement published 12th April 1917 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “PERRY – ANDREWS. – On April 11th, at St. Nicholas's Church, Castle-gate, by the Rev. W. H. Milner, Private Walter Perry, of Bright, Ontario, Canada, to Annie Miriam, youngest daughter of Mr. W.
