Nottingham Evening Post, ‘Roll of Honour’, 25 October 1918: ‘Ball On October 24th, in military hospital, (-) Ball, aged 34, the eldest beloved brother of Tel (-)' (www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk) Nottingham Evening Post, 30 October 1918, ‘Funeral of a Nottingham Officer. The funeral of Lieut. Sidney Wade, Sherwood Foresters, the son of Mr and Mrs CH Wade, Mount Hooton-road, Nottingham, who died in hospital from pneumonia at Towcester, on Sunday, took place in the Nottingham General Cemetery ... Two Nottingham soldiers were buried to-day with full military honours. They were Privates RN Ball, Labour Corps, aged 34, of Leicester-street, and Cecil WG Bush, of Loughborough-road. Both died of pneumonia. The last-named being on board a hospital ship.’
