Percival Malcolm Jackson was born in 1899 at Nottingham, he was the son of the late John Jackson and Sarah Jackson née Mugglestone and the brother of Archibald Jackson his parents were married on 29th August 1894 at St James church, Derby In 1911 they lived at 1 Glenroy Terrace, Hood Street, Sherwood Nottingham. Sarah Jackson is 53 yrs a widow, is a midwife, she is living with her two sons Archibald, 16 yrs an unemployed cycle worker and Percival 12 yrs a scholar.

Military History

Private Percival Malcolm Jackson attested on 4th January 1917 at Nottingham giving his age as 17 yrs 350 days, he was a billiard maker he lived at 16 Marshall Street, Sherwood. He was posted to the Army Service Corps and was discharged from the army on 12th September 1918 but unfit for further service due to infantile paralysis of left leg and arm, he was 18 yrs and 8 months of age, his discharge address was 16 Marshall Street, Sherwood. He died on 4th July 1919 and is buried at the Nottingham General Cemetery.
