Family History

He was the son of Charles Frederick and Annie Flinders and the brother of William, Nellie (Rose Ellen) and Lily Hall. The family lived at 10 Hermit Street in 1911 and later at 31 Whittier Road, Colwick Road, (both Sneinton Nottingham). George was serving at Normanton Barracks, Derby in 1911 as a Special Reservist.

Military History

George Hall was serving with the Sherwood Foresters (militia) when he enlisted at Derby in July 1911. He stood 5'4" tall and weighed 113 lbs. He arrived in France 15/1/1915.
