Nottingham Evening Post 4/4/1917 In Memoriam (abridged): 'Norwebb. In loving memory of our dear son Pte. Alfred Norwebb, killed in action April 4th 1917. - From his sorrowing mother, father, sisters and brothers.' 'Norwebb. In loving memory of our dear nephew Alfred, killed in action April 4th 1917. - Fondly remembered by his Aunt Charity and Uncle Jack.' There are ten Norwebbs on the 1911 Census in Nottinghamshire but Alfred's family is not amongst them. His Aunt Charity, who posted the second obituary, was born at Nottingham in 1880 and married John Bowles in 1910. Research by David Nunn
