Sapper George Henry Clayton enlisted at Liverpool and initially served with service number 267934 in the King's Liverpool Regiment before transferring to the Royal Engineers, he died in Newark on 26th October 1918. He is buried in Liverpool (Ford) Roman Catholic Cemetery grave reference RD 145.
