George William Keetley

George William Keetley was born in 1898 at Lenton and was the son of the late Thomas a lace makers labourer and Charlotte Keetley, nee Need of 63, Dorset St., Old Radford, Nottingham. His father Thomas was born in 1866 at Nottingham and died in 1912 at Nottingham aged 46 yrs, his mother Charlotte Need was born in 1872 at Radford, they were married in 1889 at Nottingham and went on to have 8 children, sadly one died in infancy r early childhood, their children were, Mary Elizabeth b1889 Dunkirk, Thomas b1893 Lenton, Florence b1895 Lenton, George William b1898 Lenton, Harold b1902 Lenton, Edgar b1904 Lenton and Arthur b1910 Radford. In the 1911 census the family are living at 80 Salisbury Street, Radford and are shown as Thomas 45 yrs a lace makers labourer, he is living with his wife Charlotte 39 yrs and their children, Mary Elizabeth 22 yrs a telephone box varnisher, Thomas 18 yrs a telephone assembler, Florence 16 yrs a telephone coil winder, George William 13 yrs a newsboy, Harold 9 yrs, Edgar 7 yrs and Arthur 6 months of age.
