Brothers: Lawrence, born in 1894 in Derby, Douglas d"Arcy, born in 1897 in Derby and Norman Robert, born on December 1, 1901 in Derby. Sister: Eileen A., born in 1896 at Derby. The family lived at 81 Goldsmith Street, Nottingham.

Military History

Pte. Sullivam volunteered for service, attesting on 04/10/1915 at Nottingham. On 08/10/1915 he began training at the R.A.S.C. Centre at Sheffield. He was drafted to France 01/05/1916 and embarked on the S.S."Lydia" at Southampton. He arrived in Rouen the next day and was posted to No. 12 General Hospital, Rouen on 05/05/1916. However, he was soon in trouble with army authorities and was confined to barracks on two occasions. On 20/12/1916 he joined 39 General Hospital at le Havre, and was again soon in trouble. He was confined to barracks on three occasions for absenting himself from parade. On 08/12/1916 he was posted to the Italian Base Deport at Harfleur and on 13/12/1916 he was posted to Italy. He was not there long and on 07/03/1918 he returned to France. He was killed in action on 26/04/1918 when he was with 138 Field Ambulance, and was buried at Brandhoek Military Cemetery.
