Frank Granger was born in 1891 in Nottingham and was son of (Robert) Booth director of a plumbing and heating companyand Eliza Granger née Fisher of 47 Park Row, Nottingham.His father Robert Booth was born in 1865 in Radford and his mother Eliza Fisher was born in 1865 also in Radford, they were married in 1889 in Nottingham and went on to have 4 children all born in Nottingham, they were Frank b1891, Nancy b1895, Booth b1896 and Kathleen b1903. In the 1911 census the family are living at 47 Park Row, Nottingham and are shown as Booth Granger 46 yrs a plumbing and sanitary engineer, he is living with his wife Eliza 47 years and his children Frank 19 yrs a plumbing and sanitary engineer, Nancy 16 yrs and Kathleen 8 yrs. Franks probate was proven on 24th January 1917 in London and shows him as Frank Granger of Southfield, Wollaton Street, Nottingham 2nd Lieutenant 20th Manchester Regiment, died 15th December 1916 in France, his effects of £65 were left to Eliza Granger wife of Booth GrangerPost war Booth Granger and his wife moved to Surrey.
Lieutenant Frank Granger, 14th (Reserve) Battalion attached 20th (5th City) Battalion Manchester Regiment. He landed in France on 16th September 1916 and died of wounds on 15th December 1916. He is buried in Puchevillers British Cemetery.
