George Frederick William Hanson

George Frederick William Hanson was born in 1885 in Nottingham and was the son of George Willoughby Hanson a builders merchant and Annie Elizabeth Hanson née Foster of 99 Waterway Street, Nottingham. His father Goerge Willoughby Hanson was born in 1851 in Chelsea, London and his mother Annie Elizabeth Foster was born in 1857 in Nottingham, they were married in 1882 in East Retford and went on to have 10 children sadly 3 were to die in infancy or early childhood , their surviving children were : John Joseph Wiloughby b1884 Nottingham, George Frederick William b1885 Nottingha, Arthur Edwin b1888 Nottingham, Elizabeth Nellie b1889 Leicester, Emma Lillian b1892 Leicester, Annie Florence b1894 Kettering and Ada Gertrude b1896 Kettering. In the 1911 census the family are living at 99 Warterway Street, Nottingham, and are show as Joseph Willoughby 60 yrs a steward at St Georges Church, he is living with his wife Annie Edith 54 yrs and their children, John J Willoughby 27 yrs a machine packer, Arthur Edwin 23 yrs a mechanical engineer, Elizabeth Nellie 22 yrs a lace minder, Emma Lillian 20 yrs a lace minder, Annie Florence 17 yrs a lace minder and Ada Gertrude 15 yrs a lace minder. George F W Hanson married his wife Edith Annie Field in 1909 in Gravesend Kent she was born in Chalk Kent in in 1887.of Castle Lane Chalk Gravesend they had a son George Hanson born 1910 in Nottingham. In the 1911 census he and his family are shown living at 17 Queen's Grove, Queens Walk, Nottingham, they are shown as George 26 yrs a police constable, he is living with this wife Edith Annie 24 yrs and their son George 8 months.
