Richard Clarke

Richard Clarke was born in 1898 and was the son of Richard a drayman at railway company and Mary Emily Clarke née Ainsworth of 35 Kingston Street, Nottingham, His father Richard was born in 1873 in Nottingham and his mother Mary Emily Ainsworth was born in Leek Staffordshire, they were married in 1893 in Nottingham and went on to have a further son Arthur b1897 also in Nottingham. It would appear that Mary Emily had a child prior to the marriage , Florence Spurr born 1890 in Nottingham. In the 1911 census the family are living at 35 Kingston Street, Nottingham and are shown as Richard 38 yrs a drayman he is living with his wife Mary Emily 37 yrs and her daughter Florence Spurr 21 yrs a lacehand and his sons Arthur 14 yrs a labourer and Richard 13 yrs a scholar.
