He was the son of George and Mary Chamberlain and the brother of George, Martha, Samuel, Alice and William Chamberlain. In 1901 they lived at 18 Rawson Street Basford Nottingham. He was the husband of Edith (née Patchett) Chamberlain. She married Jesse Boden in 1919.
