John Kenny married May Scott (born 30th May 1892 ) in 1915 their marriage was recorded in the Leeds registration district, they lived at 6 Friary View, Easy Road, Leeds and went on to have the following children, Jessie born 10th January 1916 and Thomas William born 2nd April 1918. Commencing 10th March 1919 his widow was awarded a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week. His pension record card indicates that his wife died (no date given) and the guardian of their children was Herbert Dacre of 20 Schofield Villas Main Street, Wakefield.

Military History

Private John Kenny enlisted at Leeds he was killed in action on 20th August 1918 and is buried at Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
