Military History

He served in France from 25 February 1915. He was reported missing on 22 October 1918 but his relatives did not get confirmation of his death until the following year. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial (Panel Reference:7). He qualified for the 1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal.
