He was the son of William ans Lydia Shore and the brother of Eveline May, Gertrude, Florence and Doris Shore. They lived at 3 Kenrick Road Porchester Road Mapperley Nottingham.

Military History

Private William Shore was born and resided in Mapperley and enlisted in Derby , he at first served with the Training Reserve with service number 17043 and was then transferred to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 5th October 1917. His body was never recovered or identified and his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot memorial
