George Henry Allcock was born in 1885 at Barnsley he married Alma Annie Buttery (born 11th June 1882) in 1905 at Mansfield, he was the father of William Henry born 29th November 1906, Thomas Harvey born 15th April 1908, and George Allcock born 19th January 1912 In 1911 they lived at 12 Tennyson Street East Kirkby Nottinghamshire. Commencing 22nd April 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 26 shillings and three pence

Military History

Gunner George Henry Allcock enlisted at Hucknall he served with the 76th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. he was killed in action on 26th September 1917, he is buried in Ypres Reservoir Cemetery.
