Arthur Radford (junior) was born in 1899 at Radford the son of Arthur Radford (senior) a coal miner hewer and Elizabeth Radford née Hawley of 16 Hyson Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. Arthur Radford (senior) was born in 1869 at Radford, Elizabeth Hawley was born in 1873 also at Radford, married on 8th October 1898 at Nottingham they had 4 children, their other children were Elizabeth b1903, John b1906 and Edith Radford born 1907. In 1911 the family lived at 64 Court Street Hyson Green Nottingham. Arthur (senior) is 42 yrs old and a coal miner hewer.
