He was the son of George Gibson. He was the husband of Ann (née Webster) Gibson and in 1911 they lived at 23 Durnford Street Basford Nottingham. He was the father of George, Ada, Edna and Stanley Gibson. Ann married George T Dickinson in 1919 and they lived at 7 Rock Street Commercial Road Bulwell Nottingham. The couple had a son Horace in 1921.
