Son of Thomas and Fanny Waterfield of 13 Portland St, Mansfield. His sister, Ethel Gunn is named on the CWGC site as the person who choose the headstone inscription.

Military History

Served with the Sherwood Foresters before the war. In 1911 he was with the Sherwood Foresters in India. In France from 4/11/1914. He was awarded a Silver War Badge so invalid out of the army due to illness or injuries.

Buried in Nottingham Road Cemetery, Mansfield. This man is commemorated in a book of remembrance held by Mansfield District Council.
