Family History

He was the son of Walter and Fanny Mellors of 27, Sabina Street, St Ann's, Nottingham. He was the brother of William, Walter and Harold Mellors who served in France.

Military History

Mellors joined the Seaforth Highlanders before being transferred to 1st Bn Royal Scots Fusiliers. He served for four years one month before he was killed in action during the heavy fighting on the Chemin des Dames Ridge.
