He was the son of Allen and Mary Holden and the brother of Allen, Liza, William, Gladys and Violet Holden. In 1911 they lived at 6 Oxford Square Deligne Street Nottingham. He was the husband of Elizabeth Mary Holland (formerly Holden), of 7 Jackson Terrace, Simkin Street, Blue Bell Hill, Nottingham (CWGC). At the time of George's death his wife and family was living at 3 Duke Terrace, Dawson Street, Carlton Road. Elizabeth married Robert Holland in 1918 (Jul/Aug/Sep).
