Family History

He was the son of Edwin and Clara Sharp and the brother of Edwin, Mabel and Clarice Sharp. In 1911 they lived at 16 Denstone Road Carlton Road Nottingham. They later moved to 57 Healey Street, Meadows, Nottingham (Evening Post 15/09/1916)

Military History

Private George Sharp, served with the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire) Regiment, he died of wounds on 1st September 1916. He is buried in La Neuville British Cemetery, Corbie.
