He was the husband of Elizabeth Blockley and the father of John, Annie, Ernest, Willie, Beatrice and Elizabeth Blockley. In 1911 they lived at 2 Lowdham Street Nottingham. He was the brother of Beatrice and Albert (obit).
Private John Blockley, served with the 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire) Regiment. He was killed in action on 28th April 1917 and is buried in Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm).
