Parents: Charles T and Emily J St Clere Vaisey of Rydal Mount, Quarry Lane, Mansfield. Wife: Elizabeth Jessie, nee Cameron married 20/05/1917. They married by special licence at St Peter's, Bayswater, London. He left his widow £460 11s & 10d in his will. Charles was a bank manager.
Had enlisted into the Canadian Army 3rd Canadian Infantry as a private before transferring to the British Army
Guy was awarded the Albert medal for saving a man's life in a grenade incident in No Man's Land near Frechencourt, France on 06/04/1917. The Albert Medal was issued for acts of life saving and was later renamed the George Medal.
