Robert Percy Hill was born in 1877 at Nottingham the son of the late George a clerk and Annie Hill née Bradley of 11 Burnham Street, Sherwood Rise, Nottingham.George was born in 1844 at Nottingham, he died in 1905 aged 60 yrs, Annie Bradley was born in 1845 at Nottingham, married in 1871 at Nottingham, they had 6 children, sadly two died in infancy or early childhood. In 1911 the family are living at 11 Burnham Street, Sherwood Rise, Nottingham, Annie Hill 66 yrs is a widow and is living with her 2 sons Robert Percy 34 yrs he is out of work, Edgar Bradley 32 yrs a cabinet maker.
Private Robert Percy Hill enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 6th battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he died on 26th March 1916 and is buried at Nottingham General Cemetery.
