Laurence Thomas Parker was born in 1896 the son of Benoni a coal miner hewer and the late Sarah Parker née Clarke and the brother of Rose Mary, Margaret, William, Benjamin, Charlotte, Samuel Leslie and Deborah Parker of 37 Bleak Hall East Kirkby. Benoni was born in 1856 at Alconbury and Sarah Clarke was born in 1871 at Selston she died in 1912 aged 41 yrs, married in 1893 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they had 8 children and in 1911 they lived on Mansfield Road Selston Laurence was a farm worker.

Military History
