He was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Clarke of 421 Alfreton Rd., Nottingham (CWGC).

Military History

Private John Clarke, served with the 1st Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 22nd December 1914, eleven days after landing in France. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial (Panel 26 and 27).
