Family History

Isaac Shaw was the son of William Shaw and Elizabeth Hazard who married in the Radford registration district in 1877. Their children included: Isaac (b.1878), Frederick (b.1888) and Mabel (b.1894). The Shaw family lived at 59 Ortzen Street, Radford [C.1881 & CWGC]. Elizabeth Shaw died at Nottingham, aged 55, in 1909. Her husband, William, probably died in Nottingham, aged 77, in 1929. In 1904 Isaac Shaw married Rebecca Ann Atkin at Nottingham. Their children included: George William (b.1905) and Wilfred Sidney (b.1915). The family home was 29 Glentworth Road, Radford [C.1911 & CWGC]. His widow, Rebecca Ann Shaw, never remarried and died at Nottingham, aged 73, in 1951.
