Family History

William Stanley Frisby was born in 1898 at Boston Lincolnshire, according to CWGC he was the son of George Frisby, of 18, Nursery Cottage, Arnold Rd., Old Basford, Notts. However in the 1911 census William Stanley is living at 13 Wilton Street, Old Basford, Nottingham, he is shown as being 13 yrs of age, and is living with George Frisby 44 yrs a railway carman and his wife Mary 46 yrs and is shown as their nephew, they state they have been married for 23 yrs and have had NO children.

Military History

Private Stanley William Frisby, enlisted at Nottingham and initially served with service number 46262 in the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment later serving with the 13th Battalion The King's (Liverpoool Regiment), he was killed in action 9th April 1917 and is buried in Tilloy British Cemetery, Tilloy-Les-Mofflaines.
