Family History

Isaac Walker was born in 1890 at Ruddington, he was the son of Charles a gas stoker and Mary Elizabeth Walker née Blood and the brother of Walter Walker and Eliza Green (née Walker). Charles was born in 1860 at Osgathorne, Leicester Mary Elizabeth Blood was born in 1862 at Ruddington, they were married in 1883 at Radford they had 3 children. In 1911 they all lived at 10 Ethel Grove King's Meadow Road Meadows Nottingham. Charles and Elizabeth later moved to 176 Wilford Road Meadows Nottingham. Isaac married Henrietta Frances Whittaker (born 19th November 1891) married on 3rd January 1914 at St Wilfrids Church, Wilford, Nottingham, they lived at 6 Sherbrooke Terrace Sherbrooke Road Carrington Nottingham they had 2 children, Winifred Violet born 11th December 1914 and Hettie born 4th January 1917 . His widow Henrietta was awarded a pension of 22 shillings and 11 pence a week commencing 3rd December 1917 Henrietta later married Ernest Toon in 1919 and the couple had five children - Kenneth, Douglas, Elsie, Ernest and Geoffrey.

Military History

Private Isaac Walker enlisted at Nottingham and formerly served (54073) with the North Staffordshire Regiment). He was killed in action on 3rd May 1917 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
